Manny Pacquiao absolutely destroyed Ricky Hatton Saturday night and it was just shocking to see how easy it really was for Pac Man.  Pac Man was so impressive I don’t see how anyone can not call him the Pound 4 Pound best boxer in the world right now.  The way Manny is fighting right now I’m not sure there is anyone out there that can beat him right now.

The fight looked like two fighters on two different levels and when that happens it usually ends with a spectactular knock out.  It looked like Manny knew exactly what Hatton was gonna throw out him and he just clocked him right before Hatton even had a chance to land a punch.  I was very disappointed that the fight didn’t last longer but it was a spectacular performance by Manny Pacquiao.

(Honestly.. I don’t think I have seen a major boxing fight end that fast since the Mike Tyson era. )

Well now we gotta wait for Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. All I know is that they better make this fight happen if they want to keep boxing a live. If there is someone that can beat Manny right now its probably Mayweather!!

The New York Giants went out and addressed the need for a wide reciever in this years NFL.  They picked up North Carolina WR Hakeem Nicks and (6’6″ beast) Cal Poly WR Ramses Barden. Both men will try to fill the huge void left by Plaxico Burress (Otherwise known as  Cheddar Bob).

My thoughts on Nicks:

Nicks showed in college he has great hands and the ability to make big plays.  The Giants need to be able to stretch the field and Nicks might be the answer to all the problems they had last year.  This is a big kid with good speed and I see him doing big things for the G-Men for years to come.

My thoughts on Barden:

Barden is big dude and basically that is all the Giants fan seem to known about him right now. Once the season starts I think all the Giant fans are gonna be surprised at how good this kid is.  I think he’s going to have a solid season and be the big target in the redzone that the Giants missed most of last season.  After watching his youtube highlight video Bardem showed amazing hands and an amazing ability to go up and get the ball.
